Okay, I’m so bad at keeping promises. But I swear I didn’t do it on purpose, university started, I made a few friends, I began to study for exams, etc.. You know, the same things…
Anyways, on a more positive note, I’m finally publishing a post and from the title you can already deduce what I’m going to do. Some months ago (I lost track of time), I was chosen as a member for Akemi Dawn Bowman’s new book street team. The title of the novel that will be published in March 2020 is *drum rolls* Harley in the Sky!
Okay you already know that I’ve loved all the books that Akemi has published so far (Starfish and Summer Bird Blue), so I was over the moon when she notified me about this exciting journey. For the members of her street team she has organised an event for the six months leading to the release of Harley in the Sky, but everyone, even you, can participate and most of the hosts are organising giveaways, so why not?
I like Gena Showalter’s novels even though I’ve been out of the loop and I haven’t read any of her books for the last two, three years, nor did I keep up with her new releases. Alas, I don’t why I stopped reading news about her and I hope I will start again in the future. Not in the immediate future because I have university and that’s my top priority as you can guess. The book I’m featuring is Everlife, which I highly enjoyed because it has sassy characters and the romance was swoon-worthy.
This prompt is kind of difficult, therefore the only book that cam to my mind is Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody. Her debut novel was captivating and stunning. It also features an asexual character, so… Go read it!
Not the name, the brand of motorbikes. Why do these prompt kept getting harder? Anyway, the only books that comes to my mind are the novel of The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare because (if I’m not wrong and my memories isn’t bad) Jace rides sometimes a motorbike. Or was it only in the movie and TV series?
4. Mixed Race
I loved this prompt. A book that features a mixed-race main character like in Harley in the Sky is Darius the Great Is Not Okay by Adib Khorram. This novel deals with family issues, depression, racism AND it made me cry. The story is poignant and hopeful at the same time. I think it can be considered as a masterpiece.
So… I haven’t read any book set in Las Vegas and I turned to Ace of Shades like Emma did. This book pictures the City if Sin in which Enne Salta discovers secrets about herself and her mother, while trying to survive in the most dangerous city in the world.
The first book which came to my mind was Embers by Ronnie Kendig in which the characters flew on gryphons.
